Amy Michelle Slay is an instructional designer at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies. After completing her BA in Communication and German in 2011, she worked with international organizations such as the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization and the World Institute for Nuclear Security on the design and roll out of hybrid and online courses. These experiences solidified her belief in the critical application of technology in relation to education and social change, prompting her to pursue advanced degrees. She graduated from the Institute’s dual Public Administration and International Education Management MA program in 2015. Since then, Amy has worked closely with faculty and staff to design online and hybrid learning experiences. Her interests include critical and inclusive approaches to design, cyberfeminism, and digital privacy .
